Quaker Bluff Cottage
Quaker Bluff Cottage is a guest house built on an existing foundation nestled into a hillside landscape. Situated on a property surround by active farms, the house creates an architecturally provocative statement by integrating a strong, modern vocabulary into a familiar vernacular shape. The massing, a simple gable form with cantilevered gable projections is punctured by contemporary storefront windows. A more traditional board and batten exterior siding reinforces the vernacular feel, while still transitioning directly into the contemporary window details
